Tanish Mendki

I am interested in intelligence, and how it arises in humans. I believe computational methods, such as deep neural networks give us a concrete method of testing theories about the underlying computations in our brain. At the Visual Inference Lab, I am working on understanding methods of comparing the geometry of representations across different modalities. I am also generally interested in how underlying representations affect our perception of the world. 

Prior to joining the lab, I received my B.S. in Psychological & Brain Sciences + Statistics & Data Science from UC Santa Barbara. At UCSB, I worked as an RA in the Vision and Image Understanding Lab, where I completed my undergraduate honors thesis.
